Terms of service

1. Curiendo services

Curiendo provides a tablet learning experience for children and Curiendo Family, a companion app for their parents and guardians, including learning delivery, learning evidence, progress, and home-learning support.

Where a school provides Curiendo, TutorCentrix provides the tools schools use to manage and assign that access.

Features may change as the service develops.

2. Accounts and guardians

A Curiendo Family account is created and held by an adult. You must provide accurate information and take reasonable steps to protect your account credentials.

A child profile is created and managed by a guardian, not through an independent account of the child's own. When you add a family child profile, you confirm that the child is yours to add.

Where a school provides a child's access, the school creates and manages that access, and you may separately be verified as that learner's guardian.

You may not access another person's account, family, or learner information without authorization.

3. Educational responsibility

Curiendo can assist with explanation, practice, feedback, and recommendations.

AI-generated or AI-assisted material may contain errors and should be reviewed by an adult before being relied on, particularly where accuracy, age appropriateness, or a child's safety is important.

Curiendo should not be relied upon as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions concerning a child's admission, discipline, diagnosis, special education classification, or similar matters.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Curiendo to:

• Violate applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
• Compromise or attempt to compromise the security of the service.
• Access another person's account, family, or learner information without authorization.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority over a child.
• Distribute malicious software or interfere with service operation.
• Harass, exploit, threaten, or endanger another person, particularly a child.
• Create or distribute unlawful or seriously harmful content.
• Bypass safety, privacy, or parental controls.
• Use learner information for unauthorized commercial targeting, profiling, or advertising.

5. Child safety

Curiendo is designed to support age-appropriate use by children under the direction of a parent, guardian, or school.

You may not use Curiendo to facilitate inappropriate contact with a child, public disclosure of a child's personal information or location, exploitation, or targeted advertising to children.

Curiendo is never a child marketplace. Learner-facing commerce and advertising are not permitted.

Guardians are responsible for using messaging, collaboration, and communication features in accordance with these Terms and their own family's judgment.

6. Your content

You and your child may create, upload, or submit content through Curiendo, such as a Teach-Back recording or a piece of created work.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions necessary for content you or your child provide.

Subject to applicable agreements, you retain your rights in your own content. You grant Docyrus, Inc. the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, display, and otherwise handle that content to provide the requested service.

7. Curiendo intellectual property

Curiendo, TutorCentrix, their software, interfaces, branding, designs, and other protected materials are owned by Docyrus, Inc. or its licensors except where otherwise stated.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Curiendo's technology, branding, or other proprietary materials to users.

8. AI-generated and adapted content

Curiendo may generate or adapt learning material using AI.

Generated output does not automatically carry a guarantee of accuracy, originality, or suitability for every child.

AI generation does not override copyrights, licenses, school policies, or learner protections.

9. Plans, Curiendo Credits, and purchases

Curiendo Free is available at no cost. Curiendo PRO, Curiendo PRO Family, and Curiendo Credits are paid features.

Pricing, billing periods, renewal terms, and refund conditions are shown at the time of purchase or in the separate Curiendo Credits terms of sale that govern credit purchases.

Content acquired through the Curiendo Marketplace may be subject to separate license terms.

Children may not independently purchase content through the learner experience. Learning your school makes available should not depend on your family purchasing optional content.

10. Third-party services and content

Curiendo may interact with third-party services, such as a payment processor or app store, or contain content supplied by third parties, such as marketplace creators. Those services or materials may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices.

Docyrus, Inc. is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control, although Curiendo may restrict or remove integrations or content where necessary for safety, legal compliance, or service integrity.

11. Availability and changes

We work to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee that Curiendo will always be available without interruption, delay, or error.

We may modify, suspend, restrict, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance, safety, or maintenance.

12. Suspension and termination

Access may be restricted or terminated for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, security risks, unlawful activity, non-payment, or conduct that threatens a learner, a family, Curiendo, or others.

Where appropriate, information may be retained after account closure when necessary for legitimate educational records, legal requirements, safety investigations, or dispute resolution.

13. Disclaimers

Curiendo is provided subject to the applicable agreement and law.

Except where expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee that every generated output, recommendation, or marketplace item will be error-free or suitable for every learner or family.

Nothing in Curiendo constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or other regulated professional advice.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, liability relating to Curiendo will be subject to the limitations contained in the applicable agreement, such as the Curiendo Credits terms of sale.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Curiendo evolves. Material changes will be communicated where required, and the current version will remain available on this page.
