Accessibility statement
Last updated
Curiendo is intended to help more children take part in meaningful learning. Accessibility is therefore part of how we design the app, not an optional feature added at the end.
This statement applies to curiendo.com and the Curiendo app, including Curiendo Family and the learner experience.

Our commitment
We aim to make curiendo.com, Curiendo Family, and the learner experience usable by people with a wide range of abilities, access needs, devices, and ways of interacting.
Our goal is to work toward conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA where applicable and to continually improve areas that do not yet meet that standard.
What we consider
Accessibility work across Curiendo may include support for:
- Keyboard navigation
- Screen readers and meaningful semantic structure
- Captions and transcripts
- Read-aloud options where appropriate
- Alternative text and descriptions
- Sufficient color contrast
- Reduced-motion preferences
- Adjustable playback where age-appropriate
- Larger interaction targets, sized to a learner's age band
- Alternatives to drag-only interactions
- Multiple response modes
- Simplified or alternative presentation where appropriate
- Printable or offline alternatives
- Guardian-assisted participation and accommodations
Because Curiendo supports many kinds of interactive learning experiences, accessibility requirements can vary according to the format and a learner's age.
Where a particular interaction cannot provide equivalent access in exactly the same form, we aim to provide another way to participate without unnecessarily changing what the experience is teaching.
Content from creators
Curiendo provides tools and guidance intended to help creators build more accessible learning experiences for the Curiendo Marketplace.
Accessibility remains a shared responsibility. Creators should provide appropriate alternatives for the learners who will use their experiences.
Curiendo may identify potential accessibility issues, but automated checks cannot guarantee that an experience is fully accessible for every child or context.
Ongoing improvement
Curiendo is evolving, and some areas may not yet meet the accessibility standard we are working toward.
We welcome reports of accessibility barriers and use that feedback to improve the app.
Need help accessing Curiendo?
If you or your child encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us and, where possible, include:
- The page or learning experience involved
- What you or your child were trying to do
- The device or assistive technology being used, where relevant
- A description of the problem
We will work to understand the issue and, where possible, provide an accessible alternative while it is being addressed.
